As a destination for shooting parties and individuals Kitley House Hotel could not be better placed. Located on its own Historic Shooting Estate, and in the centre of a series of six established shoots along the Yealm Valley and on up to Dartmoor, Kitley House is an imposing Tudor Building with its own Trout Lake. In addition a number of other Shoots in South Devon and East Cornwall are within a 45-minute drive and offer the complete range of Shooting Environments.

Kitley House offers an all round experience to complement the excellent driven shooting with a range of Private Dining Rooms and Lounges and Bedroom Suites. The catering is first class and each party is treated individually in terms of menus and wines.

To broadly indicate the range of content open to you our Executive Chef Vivien Marshall has created sample menus for Shooting Parties in our Restaurant, Regency Room or Drawing Room. Menu selection is important to our guests and we will present a range of choices for you following our initial discussions in order to enhance this unique occasion. The menu content is your individual choice and we will make every effort to meet your requirements.

In addition to shooting a full range of social programmes can be created for partners or in the case of a longer break the entire party. Car parking is safe and free and dogs are welcomed all year round. The hotel also offer free WIFI for keeping in touch!

Accommodation

Kitley House is an oasis of quiet luxury, providing the highest standards in comfort, cuisine and personal service. A sweeping staircase leads up to 19 spacious bedrooms and suites. Each has panoramic views over the estate and is richly appointed with furnishings designed to reflect the traditional elegance of the house while incorporating all modern facilities.

There are 2 deluxe State Rooms on the First Floor, The Churchill and Rodney Suites which feature Four Poster Beds both of which overlook the Fountain Garden and Pasture.

The Churchill Suite has the option of an additional interconnecting Drawing Room.

These large rooms are finished in a variety of individual colour schemes and layouts.

There are 4 deluxe State Rooms on the First Floor. These rooms are large mini suites in a variety of individual colour schemes and layouts. The State Rooms in particular feature large full height panoramic windows and each has a lounge area. The beds are mostly king size with options for Double or Twin occupancy. The rooms are particularly suitable for families of 2 or more children.

There are 2 Club Family Rooms on the second floor which feature Double Beds and either bunk beds or pullout beds suitable for 2 children. The rooms are of reasonable size and feature our standard facilities.

There are 6 Club Standard Double Rooms on the second floor which feature Double and Twin configurations. The rooms are of reasonable size and feature the standard facilities. These rooms allow for an additional rollaway or cot on request.

There are 4 smaller Club Double Rooms on the second floor which feature a Double configuration. The rooms feature the largest beds suitable for the bedrooms and the standard facilities.

Kitley House Restaurant and Bar

Kitley House Restaurant and Bar is a popular award winning restaurant in South Devon. It has established a reputation for the creative use of local South Devon and regional produce which is served in a friendly atmosphere in the historic surroundings of Kitley House.

As one of the leading restaurants in South Devon Kitley House Restaurant has created a reputation for friendly service with excellent cuisine featuring Head Chef Viv Marshall. The restaurant is popular for special occasions as well as light dining throughout the day.

Kitley House has set out to create a range of menus to suit all palates. The creative Menu is changed daily and features local produce presented imaginatively and compliments the creative side with some of the old favourites. The restaurant is easily accessed from both Plymouth and South Devon with an efficient taxi service on hand via reception.

Surrounded by beautiful views over the lake and hotel gardens the Terrace bar is the perfect place to relax. Enjoy a hot drink from our extensive menu, a delicious cocktail or simply unwind with a pint from our draught or bottle selection which include the award winning Cornish ale, Tribute. We offer a wide range of wines and sparkling by the glass to suit every mood and taste as well a large selection of spirits with of course local favourite Plymouth Gin.
